About
Ayah opens her own interior design studio at the age of 22, after quitting her 9-5 job in 2020. She wanted to explore the freelance world by working on private projects where she got hands on experience in the design & fit-out industry.
Starting her career life at 15, Ayah has worked in multiple companies like Apple, GAJ Architects, and NOMADK Design. Apart from her business, she is currently a Design Coordinator at CIAAD, The Council of International Accreditation of Architecture & Design, a graphic designer, and digital artist.
Ayah Makklad, 2020 AUD graduates, is the recipient of the SAAD Award / Outstanding Interior Design Student Award, and winner of AUD’s Interior Design Showcase 2020, Rotana Hotels© F&B Competition, Interiors© Furniture Competition, and the Harvard Book Prize for displaying excellence in scholarship and high character, combined with achievement in other fields.

An entrepreneur and loving father of 5, joined his daughter, Ayah Maklad in opening her dream business. Aref has always been interested in the fit-out industry. His journey began by starting a small wood workshop in his hometown, Syria, creating art with wood. He believes in quality, great craftsmanship, and attention to details.
He is the also the head of our interior fit-out projects and is responsible for the entire scope, procurement, production, communication, cost, and timelines. He obtained an NCFE IOSH Certificate for providing an understanding in health of safety, ensuring these measures are strictly followed at site.
